Each year, we implement concrete solutions for a sustainable, responsible and human tourism.

Our activities

  • Respect for the natural environment:

    • The number of canoes is limited during the summer months to preserve the Chassezac River and guarantee you a pleasant experience (see here).
    • Participate in the riverbank clean-up operations every year.
  • Raising awareness of wildlife, flora and heritage:

    • Information panel at the start of the descents.
    • Guided descents to discover the biodiversity of the Chassezac Gorges, a Natura 2000 area.
    • "Canoe France" application (see here) which allows you to discover the natural and historical heritage during your descent with explanations and anecdotes.
  • Encouraging good practices:

    • Recycling area on the base.
    • A pocket ashtray is provided at the start of the descent; the cigarette butts collected are recycled by Mégo (see here)
    • Awareness panel about sunscreen and its impact on the environment.
    • A fresh water fountain is available, allowing you to use and fill your own water bottle rather than a plastic bottle.
  • Responsible transport:

    • Optimizing shuttle services and streamlining transportation.
    • Our transport vehicles are perfectly maintained and cleaned for your comfort.
    • More than 50% of our vehicles are Euro 6, Crit'air 1 to reduce our impact.
    • Bike welcome label : to facilitate your arrival at the departure base.
    • Charging stations for electric vehicles and bicycles.
  • Quality and responsible management of equipment:

    • Our equipment is of high quality, maintained, checked and regularly renewed.
    • Local suppliers and French manufacturing preferred:
      • Canoes and Kayaks manufactured by Rotomod in Ardèche
    • Life vest :
      • Exclusive model created for Canoë France, manufactured in the LOT by MACK, adapted to your size and morphology.
      • Specifically designed for children.
      • Washed and disinfected after each use.
    • paddles Exclusive Canoë France products manufactured in Charente by Egalis using recycled aluminum.
    • Recycling materials:
      • Maintenance and repair in the CCC workshop to keep equipment in perfect working order for a long time.
      • Selling our equipment for a second life.
      • Recycling of foam from life jackets.
    • Partnership with the Fab Unit (see here) with the aim of integrating our out-of-service canoes into a recycling stream.
