From April to September :
Temperatures remain mild in the Ardèche, and the length of the routes rarely requires the use of special equipment, which we can provide upon prior request. Generally, synthetic clothing and a windbreaker are sufficient to keep you warm and are more comfortable than a wetsuit.

Summer :
The Ardèche sun is generous. All the sunscreen in the world will never replace a T-shirt and a cap.
The fairer your skin, the more protection you need. Take extra care of your children, who are more vulnerable, and your teenagers, who are less careful about protecting themselves.

We offer different sizes of waterproof containers (25 and 50 litres).

Our boats are all equipped with special mooring areas and straps.
As the watertightness of the containers is not guaranteed, we advise you to bring pouches or bags to secure any sensitive items (phone, etc.) that you wish to take inside.

You will find a large free car park at the departure point of our base in Les Assions (see on the map) where we are open continuously from 8am to 21pm.

Accueil vélo

Yes, especially since canoeing is the only way to have a picnic in the gorges.
Take care not to impact the riverbanks and their vegetation.

It's up to you to find your own little piece of paradise for a picnic or a swim.

Please note While the river is public, the banks are private. Traditionally, the people of Ardèche welcome you to their land with pleasure; please take care of it!

All descents begin by canoe from our starting base.

Upon arrival at your descent, a shuttle bus will pick you up at the time you have chosen to take you back up to the starting point.

The Chassezac River has a number of hydroelectric dams upstream, thus regulating its flow. This doesn't prevent the river from experiencing some of the most spectacular floods in the Ardèche region, but their arrival is mitigated by the dams. Several days of rain are often necessary before a flood occurs, so there's no need to panic!

In summer :
The Chassezac is regulated in July/August, its navigation is pleasant with a sufficient flow (2 m³/sec.) to pass all the rapids and to maintain good water quality for swimming.

In spring and fall :
The priority is to produce electricity. Depending on production, the flow rate varies between 1,5 m³/sec. (no production, weekends) and 9 to 27 m³/sec.
No regulations, contact us.

There are 3 places in the boat, he is welcome if he is not afraid of the water, if he is kept on a leash on our base and in places where there are other users of the river.
Please note : if it weighs more than 40 kg, the stability of the boat may be affected.

In a single-seater boat, to maintain good sailing comfort, 120 kg is a maximum.
In 2-seater boats, 240 kg for the entire crew and luggage will guarantee you a pleasant sailing experience.

This is an added bonus that will allow you to improve, but above all to sailing with your children aged 5 and up.

The instructors we cooperate with are passionate; they are committed to sharing their knowledge of canoeing and the natural environment.
