Building on its leading position, "Canoë France ®" now offers the first canoe app in France (and probably in the world…)!
Dedicated to recreational canoeing, it is compatible with Apple and Android.
Developed by Kalkin (a start-up from Auvergne, certified as a Young Innovative Company, specializing in outdoor digital applications).
This new app allows you to:
- To find the nearest canoe river using geolocation
- To discover the specific characteristics of the river, as well as the routes offered
- To know the nearest canoe base and to be able to access it easily
Then during the activity:
- To locate oneself on the river
- To discover the available services (restaurants, campsites, shops…)
- Learn more about the river through its notable points of interest (monuments, natural curiosities, etc.)
- To pinpoint one's exact location in case of difficulty so that assistance or rescue can intervene as efficiently as possible.
- To know the nearest landing point in case of an early interruption (weather change, etc.)
This app is available for free download on the Apple and Android app stores.
Given the specific nature of the activity (gorges etc.), the App does not require permanent coverage of telephone networks (pre-loading of information).
Dedicated to a tourist audience, this app is bilingual (French, English).
Experimental and innovative, this app is designed to be dynamic and evolve over the years. The 2024 version, already under development, will likely be more playful with ranking options:
